#1-39 Antique Corner Cabinet
When I first acquired this piece it was yellow. But the paint was chipping off so I kept brushing it off and voila! the original painting from 1918 was revealed. This style of painting is called "dricka" painting and is applied with hands, fingers and combs. The paint is a mix of a Swedish ale/beer, pigments, egg and tempera and is a traditional style of painting especially in the the region of Dalarna.
This is a corner cabinet that was part of a kitchen interior, thus each side of the piece are not painted where the rest of the counters and cabinet once sat.
A really great piece of kitchen history! 43x23x84H
